If you have never performed meditation
session before, you can deal with some unwanted and frustrating matters. Maybe
we have ever heard about several exciting benefits and useful relaxation from
the regular meditation, yet we are
sitting cross-legged in the quiet place and wonder when the magic will start.
Are we missing something?
The
answer will be absolutely "Yes". Like anything else around the world,
meditative state takes much practice, effort and time.
Anyone who has been meditating frequently for many years can slip into a trace
with a little bit of experience. However, that can be the result of
self-training. As the beginner, it will not be unlikely that we will experience
any profound enlightenment or the super-deep relaxation state. We can not even
see any specific advantage from the process of meditation till we have a couple of sessions under our belt.
Some
valuable meditative tips for you – the beginner
Set
the suitable scene
Don't
be hesitant to spend time in looking for a place where we can remain undisturbed till we complete Meditation session. Keep in mind that
this place should be quiet and private
with a comfortable temperature.
Don't forget to prepare a room for sitting. Some people can meditate while
reclining on the comfy chair or couch. Nevertheless, we will not need a
comfortable room to fall asleep easily. As the beginner, cross-legged sitting
on the floor can be the best choice.
If
possible, we can sit on a cushion, a blanket or towel on the floor. Now, here
is a right time for us to dim the lights and remove any glare which is bright
enough to see via our closed eyelids. If we like, we are also allowed to play
music. However, it will be a wise idea for us to open instrumental music since lyrics can be distracting. Natural
noise is also ideal.
Prepare ourselves
Spend
a few seconds in loosening up and making ourselves comfortable. The
objective here is to relax. Now, don't hold back from loosening our clothing,
taking our shoes off and having a great stretch. Don't forget to roll our
shoulders many times in each direction, circle our arms, lean our head from
side to side as well as bend over at the hips.
Try
our best
Sit
down and get comfortable. There are two things we should keep in mind during
the process of meditation: Don't
slouch and don't force ourselves into any unnaturally rigid posture. Now, here
will be a time to close eyes and
breathe. Every time we inhale, count "One". Similarly, every
time we exhale, count "One". Always focus on our breath. When we do
this, our body will begin to relax, and our attention can be centered in our
mind.
Come
back
As
soon as we feel fully centered in our mind, enable ourselves to slowly come back to the real life.
Don't forget to wiggle our fingers, toes and wake our body up. Open the eyes
and remain this posture for a couple of minutes when our senses turn back, and
then slowly stand up.
In
the brief conclusion, these above little tips will be great pieces of advice
for everyone on relaxing your physical and mental mind to absorb and feel the
natural movements and energy with meditation. Magic will appear after
practicing this marvelous method.
The
truth is that the process of Meditation
requires much effort and time. To enhance the Meditation session well, people have to know the ways to prepare
their bodies, find the appropriate places and set their intention.
